Who is Vasquez?
UTEP graduate, twice, with a Bachelor's of Arts in English and a
Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Mr. Vasquez has wide ranging
experience in the education arena beginning in 1999 at UTEP with Developmental English, Freshman Composition I and II, and Junior/Senior Intro to Creative Writing for three years.
2002, V moved to a lower valley high school and taught Junior and
Senior English, Dual Credit English, Newspaper, and coached Cross
Country and Track for three and a half years before moving to the Rio
Grande Campus of El Paso Community College as a full time instructor for
a year and a half where he taught Developmental English classes, as
well as Freshman English Composition I and II.
His tenure at
Bowie High began in 2007 with Sophomores before taking over Junior and
Senior AP and Dual Credit English for the 2008-09 year.
Currently teaching regular Junior, Senior AP, Senior Dual Credit English.
Students should always strive to be prepared for whatever happens in class, and, since it is English, that means a great deal of reading, writing, and discussion.
